The ardently believing, fieldworking vicar struggles very hard to hold his divine services in dense cigarette fumes and jeering from the customers in the Café Heimdal on Nørrebro. (Part of Copenhagen with social problems) The vicar working in the business world tries to get the employees at Codan Forsikring (large insurance company) to use her as a spiritual advisor. The vicar employed at Vestre Fængsel (prison in Copenhagen) is popular among the inmates. Every week there are many more people signing up for the service, than there is room for. The inmates badly need a helping hand from God. The program is part of DR2’s Saturday theme “Beneath the Cassock”.
