Becoming a mother also made Heidi more aware of the matter of adoption. The journalist Heidi is herself adopted fro Korea and she wanted to make a film about the lifes of adoptees in Denmark. But instead she ended up making a strong personal documentary about the struggle to find her own biological mother. Heidi goes to Korea with a photographer, and the story becomes very dramatic when the orphanage - from where she was adopted - refuses to give her the name of her mother. But Heidi believes in her right to know her biological mother, and she ends up steeling a document with important information. Now the journey toward better understanding of herself and her history truly begins…
